Rozwel, Konno, and Hashbrown were reviewing different types of bandage material and bandaging patterns in the hospital. Rozwel had laid out several materials across the countertops. It was a rather stormy day outside, the dark clouds making the bright lights inside the hospital essential. The pitter patter of rain provided a background noise that was slowly lulling Hashbrown to sleep. Inside though, the lights were on, the counters were clean, and none of the sand from the beachside currently dotted the floor-which was a feat as they were set up on the beachside. Konno cast a worried glance towards the window that faced the water. Though tall rocks protected the colony from rising waters and the worst of the rain and wind, the young Tark'ee was still nervous.

A needed distraction was on the way though! Mouse, a belemoid from a far off colony, nudged open the hospital door. Thunder rumbled suddenly louder as the door opened, heralding the belemoid's approach. Konno and Hashbrown looked at one another with eyes wide, alarmed at the sudden noise. Rozwel tsked at them and trotted through the main doors from the back area up to the front to greet the newcomer.

The blue belemoid nodded at Mouse as he shuffled in. "Welcome in. I'm Rozwel, the main doctor at this hospital. How can I help you?"

Mouse squinted in the bright lights of the hospital and water dripped from his fur forming a small puddle on the floor. Noticing this, Rozwel called back for Konno and Hashbrown. "You two, being a towel up here!" The two Tark'ee scrambled to grab a towel, quietly pulling the largest towel back and forth between them in a tiny game of tug as they ran it up to Mouse so he could dry off a bit from the downpour outside.

Mouse gratefully accepted the fluffy towel and took a little bit of time to get warm and dry before answering Rozwel's original question. "I'm Mouse, and I seem to have injured my leg. I can't get all the way back to my home in this storm, and I hoped you could help."

Rozwel nodded as the two Tark'ee whelps looked on, trying to sit very still and not distract the doctor. "Why don't we go into a room and take a closer look at your leg. We'll get you fixed up so you can get home." Rozwel started walking towards the nearest room and Konno offered to take the towel back from Mouse. As he took the towel back to the back area of the hospital, Hashbrown looked around, noting that both Mouse and Rozwel were occupied by entering the patient room, and crouched low, stalking after his friend, waiting for the opportunity to pounce on him and start a game of tumble.

Inside the patient room, Rozwel began the exam. "You can tell me as little or as much as you'd like about what happened. Is it okay if I examine your leg?" Mouse gave the affirmative and chose to stay quiet about how he was injured. Rozwel peered at the back left leg, quickly noting a deep gash. It looked painful to walk on due to location, but nothing that wouldn't be able to heal with the right ointment, some bandages, and rest.

"This doesn't look too terribly bad. Painful for sure, but it'll heal just fine if you take care of it." Rozwel announced. Mouse looked pleased at that news. "I'd like to clean it really well today, which will likely be a bit painful as I want to flush out anything that might've entered the wound on your way here. Then I want to let it dry, apply a cream, and bandage it. I'll show you how to bandage it as well so you can be on your way as soon as you're ready and you won't need to stay here for care. I'd also like to prescribe antibiotics since we don't know what might've been on whatever caused this wound, and it's been exposed to the world. And of course, we'll get you set up with some good painkillers. Does that all sound good to you?"

Mouse nodded, very pleased to hear that he could be on his way before too long. He had places to be. Rozwel called out for Konno and Hashbrown to bring those bandages in that they'd laid out. Now they had a real patient in need of them, and the assistants would be able to see the technique for real.
