Ramsay had been fascinated with the tark'ee that were living in the deepest part of the ring. Ever since he saw them when he went with Aristaeus and Citria had gone down to help battle the volcanics. The things that they must have seen so deep into the earth. Fossils and gem stones like no one has seen. But he was most curious about why they were so hostile. And why was the volcanic was chained up? Did it do something bad? But that would not make much sense.

Ramsay wrote a quick little note explaining where he was going, just in case he was not able to make it back.

He grabbed a pack that lay next to the door. Quickly put it on and rushed out. Making sure to close his door behind him.

It was still very early. The suns would not be rising for several hours. The sky was clear and bright with the starry night sky. Which made it easy for him to find his way through the forest and into the bunker.

He quickly navigated his way through the moss covered rooms and down the hallway that led to the Aerobic Tark'ee caverns. He was careful to walk quietly as he made his way to the tunnel where Aristaeus and Citria had brought him. Ramsay wished he knew of a different way down but he did not. He made his way slowly down the tunnel stopping to look at the tunnel walls. Ramsay noticed that occasionally there was a divot in the wall that indicated that something had been dug out at one point. He ran his clawed front paw across one particular large hole. As he neared the exit he could feel the heat from the lava pits. A steady wind of heat swirled up from the opening. Ramsay hoped that would be enough to mask his scent.

Ramsay peered out of the cavern and noticed that no one was there. He was about to slip from the tunnel onto the plateau when he saw movement. A lone Volcanic wandered close by and then disappeared down another tunnel that had been hidden by Ramsay. Curious Ramsay crept out and followed the Volcanic being careful to make himself blend into the walls. Which was hard to do with his coat color.

Ramsay could hear the Volcanic rumble and mumble under its breath from far up the tunnel. Ramsay was concentrating so hard on keeping up with the Volcanic that he almost didn't see the side tunnel. Curious he peered inside.

The tunnel was short and he could see that it ended in a dark room. He looked down the main tunnel he was following but he could no longer hear the Volcanic he had been following. He crept slowly into the tunnel and came out into a cavern. The cavern was dark and only the areas where the wall was cracked enough to let in the light of the glowing lava provided enough light for Ramsay to see. Strewn across the ground were large black boulders and in amongst them were what looked like eggs. There was no guard and the eggs lay everywhere. Some of them even looked like they had gone bad like the baby inside had died.

Ramsay didn't hesitate. He reached for the nearest egg and stuffed it into his pack. Maybe if the village raised a Volcanic they would be able to send it in as an ambassador when it got older. But he also knew that it would have a much better chance of hatching if he took it with him.

Ramsay walked swiftly down the tunnel and then after making sure the coast was clear he made his way to the main tunnel that would lead to the Aerobic area. Once again he clung to the shadows and when he made it inside the tunnel and started working his way back home he felt himself relax. He opened his pack and gazed down at the egg. What was he going to tell Noel?
